THE GRIND: New Monster Energy Documentary Series goes behind-the-scenes of the UCI Cross-country World Cup

A new three-part series follows Monster Energy athletes Luca Martin, Gwendalyn Gibson and Charlie Aldridge across the 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series season.

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports presents THE GRIND, a new documentary series produced by Monster Energy that follows three of its cross-country athletes through the 2026 UCI Cross-country World Cup season.

The three-part series goes behind the scenes with UCI World Cup winners Luca Martin (Cannondale Factory Racing), Gwendalyn Gibson (Trek - Unbroken XC) and Charlie Aldridge (Cannondale Factory Racing), offering an inside look at the pressure, sacrifice and reality of life on the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series circuit.

Across the season, the series captures the highs, setbacks and defining moments that shape each athlete’s campaign - from winter preparation and early-season expectations to the physical and mental demands of racing at the highest level. More than a story of performance alone, it explores the resilience, passion and drive that push each rider to pursue something bigger than results.

Episode 1, “The Beginning”, introduces all three athletes as they prepare for the season ahead, taking viewers inside their winter training camp and through the opening three rounds in MONA YongPyong (South Korea), Nové Město na Moravě (Czechia) and Lenzerheide (Switzerland), where expectations begin to meet reality.

The following two episodes will follow their journeys through the rest of the season, as the demands of travel, recovery and high-pressure racing intensify round by round, building towards the season finale.

All episodes will be released on the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series YouTube channel throughout the season.

The first episode is available to watch NOW.
