Mathieu van der Poel to Race in Les Gets, Haute-Savoie

Mathieu van der Poel is set to line up at the UCI Cross-country World Cup in Les Gets, Haute-Savoie (France) from 20 -23 August.

Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) is set to return to the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series this weekend after being confirmed on the entry list for the Les Gets, Haute-Savoie (France) round.

A multiple time UCI World Cup winner, Van der Poel is back on the trails for the first time since last season’s Les Gets round, following another successful road campaign. The Dutchman claimed two stage victories at this year's Tour de France, including the final stage in Paris after an attacking ride alongside overall winner Tadej Pogačar.

With the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole (Trentino, Italy) approaching, Les Gets gives Van der Poel a valuable chance to test himself against the world’s best as he fine-tunes his form for one of the season’s biggest off-road targets - adding even more excitement to an already stacked field in Haute-Savoie.
