Aaron Gwin on Crestline Bikes

Five-time UCI Downhill World Cup overall title winner stuns Gravity world with announcement

The five-time UCI Downhill World Cup overall title winner, Aaron Gwin, has announced he will make his return to racing aboard Crestline Bikes. The deal with the fledgling Southern Californian company will see Gwin work towards part ownership of the brand whilst taking care of their race program under his Gwin Racing banner.

The Gwin Racing roster also boasts promising youngsters Seth Sherlock and Mike Delesalle who will kick their respective Gravity seasons off at the opening UCI Downhill World Cup in Fort William, Scotland.

Being a part of a bike brand as an owner is an absolute dream of mine

Gwin stated on his Instagram page. He will be competing on the brand’s RS 205 VHP frame with a suite of components that are largely carried over from his previous Intense Factory Racing outfit.

The San Bernardino native won UCI Downhill World Cup overall titles in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He’s also an eight-time US National Champ and currently boasts 20 UCI Downhill World Cup wins – just three away from the record holder, Greg Minnaar (Norco Factory Racing)

Tickets for the opening round of the UCI Downhill World Cup 03-05 May in Fort William, Scotland are on sale now.
