A former U23 UCI World Champion, Frei transitioned seamlessly to the elite level, where she has become a regular podium contender in UCI World Cups and global championships. She earned a silver medal in XCO at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and played a key role in securing gold for Switzerland in the team relay at the World Championships.
