Nina is from Freiburg, Germany. She’s motivated by her goals, which drive her every day in training.
Sometimes they’re front and center, other times more in the background — but they’re always there, helping her push through the tough days. She also loves seeing progress in her training, which keeps her energized and focused. Although Nina is a summer athlete, she’s a winter kid at heart. She loves real winter — when the snow sparkles, the sun is shining, and she can spend the whole day skiing. She prefers downhill skiing in the morning and cross‑country skiing at noon. And to refuel after training, she has to have either apple strudel with vanilla sauce or Kaiserschmarrn at the hut. Off the bike, when she’s at home, Nina loves spending time with her family and friends, drinking coffee, and chatting. She relaxes by baking and knitting — her favorite form of meditation — though sometimes the baking gets a little out of hand! Luckily, Nina’s husband is the perfect consumer of her baked creations, so nothing ever goes to waste.
