Matt is from Oswestry, Shropshire, UK. He has always had a huge affinity for bikes—some of his earliest memories are on push bikes.
His dad raced motorbikes, so he’s been surrounded by racing for as long as he can remember. Wanting to get fitter for endurance racing, his dad took up mountain biking, and one Sunday asked Matt to join him. Before he knew it, Matt was racing MTB himself and has never looked back. Off the bike, he enjoys riding superbikes—a passion he’s had since he was very young. Matt actually raced motorbikes before he ever rode a mountain bike. These days it’s not easy for him to find the time, but he still manages to squeeze in a few days on the bike when he can. Matt’s future goal? To never get a “real” job!
