I started cycling and racing BMX at a young age alongside my parents. I competed nationally in BMX before transitioning to mountain biking when I was around 12.
Over the years, I tried most disciplines — including Crankworx events and enduro — before discovering my passion for downhill racing. My background in BMX gave me a strong foundation in riding skills and bike handling. Off the bike, I enjoy training in the gym and playing racket sports for fun. I also like spending time at home with my family and regularly working on my bikes to keep them in top condition and ready for riding. I’m motivated by the standards I set for myself and the discipline I’ve developed from racing different cycling disciplines since I was young. I’m also fortunate to be surrounded by great friends and riding partners who push and inspire me every day. I rely heavily on my e‑bike as a training tool, especially at the start of the off‑season. For me, it’s a way to increase repetition, build fitness, and refine my downhill skills.

A historic opener to the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in South Korea saw Asa Vermette (Frameworks Racing / TRP) claim a sensational Elite debut victory while Vali Höll (Commencal Schwalbe by Les Orres) triumphed despite a flat tyre. On a demanding brand-new course, Junior wins for Aletha Ostgaard (Canyon DH Racing) and Jonty Williamson (Yeti / Fox Factory Race Team) capped a thrilling start to the season.
