Kira’s biggest career achievement is her final year in the U23 category, where she won the overall UCI U23 World Cup. A major highlight was the UCI World Cup block in Brazil. She arrived at the start line as a non‑favourite, without big expectations, and ended up winning the first four UCI World Cup races there.
Kira grew up in a very active family, so sport was always a natural part of her life. Her parents were both involved in sports, and from a young age she tried many different disciplines, including athletics and ballet. Around the age of twelve, Kira and her sister began riding their bikes more—mostly because it was fun and gave them a feeling of freedom. Through that experience, and with the support of her parents, she found her way into mountain biking. She immediately loved not only being outdoors and the technical challenges, but also the competitive side of the sport. She enjoys pushing her limits, racing against others, and seeing how far she can go. That mix of freedom, intensity, and competition is what made her realise that mountain biking was more than just a hobby.

Sina Frei (Specialized Factory Racing) and Dario Lillo (Giant Factory Off-road Team - XC) took two of the hardest-fought UCI Cross-country Olympic (XCO) World Cup victories in recent years at the opening round of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in South Korea.

A historic opener to the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in South Korea saw Asa Vermette (Frameworks Racing / TRP) claim a sensational Elite debut victory while Vali Höll (Commencal Schwalbe by Les Orres) triumphed despite a flat tyre. On a demanding brand-new course, Junior wins for Aletha Ostgaard (Canyon DH Racing) and Jonty Williamson (Yeti / Fox Factory Race Team) capped a thrilling start to the season.
