Joe is inspired by the likes of Greg Minnaar, Loïc Bruni, Valentino Rossi, Tiger Woods, Novak Djokovic, and Ken Roczen.
For Joe, the off-season is defined by consistent, disciplined structure. His day begins with yoga, followed by business obligations—including computer work, trading, meetings, team management, and building AXESS UNLTD. By midday, his focus shifts entirely to athletic performance, dedicating the afternoon to training, testing, riding, product development, and media commitments. Off the bike, Joe stays highly active in other sports, particularly tennis, padel, and golf. He thrives on competition and enjoys using these sports to keep his physical and mental training varied.

On International Women’s Day, WBD Sports highlights how its Women in Mountain Bike initiative is turning long term commitment into concrete action. Through structural, sporting and educational initiatives, the programme continues to drive meaningful progress towards greater gender parity across the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series.
